Stonehill College Rallies for Cancer Patients

Special to the Transcript

Students at Stonehill College raised a sizable monetary donanation for the Marie Petrilli Cancer Treatment & Research Memorial Fund.  As part of a leadership program, Charlie Page of Winthrop, MA and classmate Caitin Regan of Atkinson NH spearheaded a campus fundraiser.  Page and Regan decided their leadership project would center around breast cancer awareness.  Pink bracelets were sold at several sporting events on campus and throughout the Stonehill College community.

Charlie Page left, of Winthrop and Stonehill College is shown presenting a donation to Al Petrilli also of Winthrop
for the Marie Petrilli Cancer Treatment and Research Memorial Fund.

The Marie C Petrilli Cancer Treatment and Research Memorial Fund was selected by Page and Regan as a way of giving back to the community, beyond the school campus, to give hope to those faced with a cancer diagnosis.  The Fund devotes its energy to passionately advocate for patient care and well being.  Most of the foundation’s gifts have been made to the Mass General Hospital Cancer Center. At Stonehill College both Page and Regan play leadership roles.  Charlie as the Captain of the Mens Hockey Team and Caitlin as a member of the Womens Soccer Team
