Pascar to Run for Precinct 3 Council Seat

Special to the Transcript

Amy Pascar has announced her intention to run for Town Council Precinct 3. The following is her statement.

“My name is Amy Pascar And I am running for Winthrop Town Council Precinct 3. I was born and raised in here, and very proud to say I am from Winthrop.

I have always lived in the Beach area, and through the years noticed how the precinct has declined the aesthetics of the area.

We have a serious drug problem here. There are syringes all over The Lewis Lake Park playground. Did you know that 84 people have died from overdoses in Winthrop from 2019 to 2020. Because of this, the crime rate has risen.

Also I would like to know why are the sidewalks that were recently fixed within the last couple of years are crumbling?

These are just a couple of things on my agenda. There are other topics that I have concerns about.

Thank You for giving me this opportunity to express my feelings and some of the concerns to help improve this precinct and town I hope I can count on your vote so I can further work on keeping Winthrop a safe and beautiful place to live.

Sincerely

Amy Pascar”
