The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) today announced that Samuel Yarrow of Winthrop was awarded the MSCPA Alliance Scholarship from the MSCPA’s Educational Foundation.
Yarrow, a student at Northeastern University, was one of 32 students selected to receive a scholarship from the MSCPA’s Educational Foundation’s 2021 Scholarship Program. The students will be presented with their awards at the Virtual MSCPA Scholarship Award Ceremony and Reception on June 9.

Scholarships are funded 100% through donations to the MSCPA’s Educational Foundation. This year, the MSCPA presented $145,500 in scholarships to students. The mission of the MSCPA’s Educational Foundation is to inspire and support the next generation of CPAs in Massachusetts. Since the program’s inception in 2006, the Educational Foundation has awarded over 300 scholarships to aspiring CPAs, ranging from $2,500 – $10,000 and totaling more than over $1,500,000. MSCPA scholarships are available for both undergraduate and graduate accounting students who are attending a college or university in Massachusetts or attending a college or university out-of-state with a permanent residence in Massachusetts.
