The Force Is Strong at Winthrop Library

Over 40 children and their parents came to the Winthrop Public Library on Tuesday to visit with the galactic scourge known as
Darth Vader and celebrate May 4th (May The Fourth Be With You) and the Star Wars Universe. A big thank you to Jason Karge, a member of the 501st New England Garrison (501neg.com) for getting us in contact with Lord Vader.. Shown here, Children’s Librarian, Amanda Isbell, in pitched lightsaber battle and being force pushed out of the way.
A special thank you to Winthrop Market for a supply of Tootsie Pops that Vader could share with all the young visitors. Shown here, Jackson Stone with Darth Vader.
