Winthrop voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, Sept. 1 for the State Primary Election.
Several residents have already cast their ballots through the mail-in voting and absentee voting process.
The U.S. Senate Democratic Primary, featuring U.S. Sen. Ed Markey and Congressman Joe Kennedy III, is creating the most interest locally and statewide. The winner of the Democratic Primary will advance to the general election on Nov. 3.
Candidates Kevin O’Connor and Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai are vying for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate.
The Winthrop polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
