The Winthrop Parks and Recreation Summer Program will start this Monday, July 6.
Director Sean Driscoll said the program will be held Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and continue through Aug. 20. More than 100 youths have signed up to participate in the program that will be conducted at the Ingleside and Coughlin Parks.
“We will be following the state guidelines with 10 youths per group and two counselors per group,†said Driscoll.
The full-day program will be held Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Ingleside Park.
“During those hours, I am asking that only our Parks and Recreation staff and the participants in the program be in the parks at that time,†said Driscoll.
As the state guidelines ease up, the Parks and Recreation Department is planning to hold summer concerts and various family events.
