Monday, June 15

0847: A resident came into the station to report that his motor vehicle (MV) had been broken into overnight and that several items had been taken. The officer will file a report.

0942: An officer stopped a MV at Pleasant and Lincoln Sts. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of failing to stop for a red light. The officer gave the operator a verbal warning.

1131: A Read St. resident called the station to report that her MV had been broken into overnight. She reported that nothing was taken. The officer will file a report. 

1154: An officer responded to a report of two parties engaged in a verbal argument at a business on Winthrop St. The officer will file a report.

1201: An officer responded to a report of two women arguing on Woodside Ave. about one not wearing a mask. One of the parties had left the scene by the time the officer arrived.

1402: An officer retrieved a hypodermic syringe on the Point and brought it back to the station for proper disposal.

1731: An officer responded to a report of an argument involving a customer at a local business and whether he had received proper change for a money order he had purchased. The officer restored the peace.

1816: An officer directed two persons playing basketball at Massa Playground to turn down the volume of their music.

1920: An officer responded to a report of loud construction at a Locust St. residence. The homeowner agreed to have the work wrapped up within 15 minutes.

1956: An officer stopped a MV on Bowdoin St. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and issued a citation to the operator.

2027: An officer resolved a noise dispute between neighbors in the Executive Apartments on Veterans Rd.

Tuesday, June 16

1008: A resident came into the station to report a breaking & entering (B&E) into 

her MV overnight. The officer will file a report.

1052: An officer stopped a MV at Main and Linden Sts. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1151: A resident came into the station to report a case of identity theft and a compromised checking account.

1341: A person came to the station to report that his MV had been stolen from the CVS parking lot a week earlier. However, an officer was able to look at the security camera and determined that the MV had been towed and then learned that the MV had been taken to Atlantic Toyota in Lynn. This information was relayed to the caller.

2146: Residents in the area of Nahant and Grovers Aves. reported confronting persons who were throwing fireworks out of their MV. The police put out a be-on- the-lookout (BOLO).

2214: Witnesses to an accident reported that a black Honda Civic had struck a parked MV at the Public Landing. The Honda was located by the Revere police in their city and the operator of the Civic will receive a summons for the criminal charge of leaving the scene of an accident after causing property damage.

2303: An officer assisted while the Fire Dept. assisted with putting out a fire in a fire pit that a Cliff Ave. resident initially had refused to extinguish.

2335: An officer directed four males playing basketball at the Walden St. courts to cease for the night.

Wednesday, June 17

0627: An officer spoke to the superintendent at the Golf Club about a grounds crew employee using a leaf blower before 7:00 a.m.

1535: An officer spoke to neighbors on Shirley St. about the taking of packages belonging to one of the neighbors. The officer will file a report.

1709: An officer assisted the operator of a disabled MV on Pleasant St.

2310: An officer stopped a MV on Revere St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a stop sign violation and gave a verbal warning to the operator. 

2319: An officer directed two MV operators who were parked at Hannaford Park to be on their way.

Thursday, June 18

0759: A Highland Ave. resident reported that the tailgate from his work truck was stolen overnight.

1234: A Governor’s Park resident reported that an upstairs neighbor was making undue noise. The officer attempted to contact the parties and left voice messages. This is an ongoing weekly issue between these parties.

1311: A resident came into the station to express his concern about vehicles speeding in the area of River Rd. The police will monitor the area.

1346: A 31 year-old Dedham man who voluntarily came into the station was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

2054: A resident reported that fireworks were being set off in Hannaford Park. The suspects had left by the time an officer arrived.

2056: More fireworks were reported being set off at the Pond St. playground.

2113: An officer dispersed a group of youths from Halford Beach.

Friday, June 19

0700: A caller reported a lost dog in the vicinity of Madison St. 

0922: An officer had the owner of a MV parked illegally at Trident Ave. and Shore Drive move his MV. The officer warned the owner that his MV will be ticketed the next time.

1221: An officer stopped a MV on Revere St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of texting while driving and gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1225: An officer issued a parking ticket to a work truck that was parked on the sidewalk in the 300 block of Revere St.

1437: Officers responded to a MVA on River Rd. in which a MV struck a parked MV. One MV was towed and a person was injured.

1603: The landlord of a property at Irwin and Shirley Sts. reported that a tenant’s bicycle had been stolen from the lobby. The officer will file a report.

2219: Officers dispersed two youths from out of town who may have been setting off fireworks at Donovan’s Beach.

2245: An officer dispersed a MV with two occupants from the area behind the Gorman elementary school.

2256: Officers directed a homeowner on Beacon St. to lower the volume on their TV.

2306: An officer directed two persons playing music loudly on the seawall on Grovers Ave. to turn off the music
