Inc.ubate Coworking Expands With Outdoor Space

Since the doors of Inc.ubate Coworking opened in March of 2018, Founder Mike Lucerto has dreamt of having an outdoor space for professionals to gather and work. Two years later, Lucerto found himself faced with opportunity in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis and last week, he proudly announced the opening of the outdoor space behind the Somerset Ave building that also houses the Winthrop Book Depot, Special F/X Hair Design, and Lotus Market. Known as “Gibson Garden,” the space is named after Tim Gibson, the artist who brought the Ten Thousand Flowers Community Mural to the 3-21 Somerset Ave building.

“I’ve always wanted to create some outdoor space for people to work and gather,” said Lucerto. “With the COVID-19 crisis, I thought this was the best time to create a space where people could work in the fresh air or host small social distance meetings/gatherings.”

The colorful space is accessible as a member of Inc.ubate Coworking and can be rented for small private gatherings by non-members, as long as social distancing rules are followed. Memberships start as low as $100/month and provide people with a safe and quiet space where they can get their work done away from the distractions of home. 

“Many people have been forced to work from home, but they may find it challenging to get things done when juggling work, childcare and other responsibilities in the home. Inc.ubate provides people with the space they need to get things done efficiently and then return to homelife. We’ve not only built outdoor space, but we have private office space for people to book should they like to work inside as well.”
