Town Provides Update on COVID-19 Situation

The Town has received notification from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) of two additional residents affected by COVID-19, bringing the number of  total cases confirmed to 227; 176 recovered, 24 deceased and 27 in isolation as of Tuesday, May 26.

The Winthrop Community Food Bank

The Food Bank operates Tuesday – Thursday and can accept donations on those days from 11am-1pm. Food is distributed by delivery only. If you are in need, call 617-539-5848 or email WinthropFoodBank@town.winthrop.ma.us. Please provide your name, address, phone number and the number of adults and children in your household.

Emergency Operations Center        

The Town of Winthrop Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is streamlining the COVID-19 response effort to ensure the continued delivery of services to residents.

The EOC can be reached at 617-539-5848, Tuesday through Thursday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or by emailing COVID19info@town.winthrop.ma.us.

For residents that may be self-quarantined and require outside assistance or meal delivery, please contact the EOC at 617-539-5848 or COVID19info@town.winthrop.ma.us. All information will be confidential.

The COVID-19 Tip Hotline is available on the Winthrop Public Safety website at https://winthroppublicsafety.com/covid-19-tip-hotline/ for those self-reporting or for a concerned member of the community.
