Plans are underway to launch the 2018 Winthrop Farmer’s market. While no dates have been set, there are 17 approved vendors so far. Under the direction of Donna Sears, the market will have a couple of changes this year.
First, the location of the market will be on the Walden Street basketball courts. So far, is it unknown if power will be available to vendors there. Food vendors will need to bring their own power supply.
The Winthrop Farmers Market has also applied to be a SNAP authorized retailer and times to take part in this benefit will be announced at each market. “This will be clearly advertised,†said Sears.
There are 17 approved vendors at this point – six of those will need to submit information to the Board of Health. There is always room for more volunteers if anyone is interested.
