Winthrop High’s Cormac MacPhail proudly displays the first-place ribbon that he earned by winning the 1,000-meter run in the NEC Freshman-Sophomore Meet at Beverly High School. Cormac is a rising star in the track program, carrying on the proud Winthrop High athletic tradition of his father, Warren, and his mother, Daniela (Foley), who both excelled in sports for the Vikings.
