ALICE IN WONDERLAND TONIGHT

“Alice in Wonderland” will be performed at Winthrop High School on tonight Thursday, Oct. 15 and Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door, $5 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. The play is being directed by high school students Shannon Stimpson and Julia Ford

WCVB REPORTER TO SPEAK AT LIBRARY

Ted Reinstein will speak at the Winthrop Public Library on Oct. 20.  Reinstein has been a reporter, producer, and anchor for WCVB-TV Channel 5’s “Chronicle,” Boston’s long-running, award-winning nightly newsmagazine. He’s also an actor, and author of “A New England Notebook,” which is a collection of some of his favorite stories from across New England.
A native of Winthrop, Reinstein delivers a fun and fascinating talk about his experiences meeting with some of New England’s most interesting people; people you won’t hear about from anyone else! See him Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 PM

Family Concert with David Polansky

Award-Winning Musician David Polansky will perform in the Winthrop Public Library- Children’s Room, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at 2 pm. You won’t want to miss this great performance! Bring the whole family. Fun for all ages.

Get ready for the Country Fair

Mark your calendars for the annual Winthrop High School Junior Class Country Fair! The fair will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 6 pm to 9 pm at St. John’s Hall. This is the junior class’ biggest fundraiser and it’s a great night of raffles and prizes! If anyone would like to donate a prize or basket to raffle off, please contact Tracie Turransky at turransky26@yahoo.com or Patty Hames at phames@winthrop.k12.ma.us. Any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for supporting the Class of 2017.

Pooch Parade & Costume Contest

The Winthrop Parks Committee invites the town’s most dapper dogs and their two-legged companions to show off their Howl-o-Ween costumes and help raise money to keep Winthrop Parks beautiful.

Event takes place at Ingleside Park at 10 am on Saturday, Oct. 31 with a rain date of Sunday, Nov. 1. Vendors, prizes and fun for all! Entry fee is $10 and $5 for each additional pet. Proceeds benefit the maintenance and beautification of Winthrop Parks.

Please download the entry form at winthropparks.org and mail or drop off completed registration form to: Winthrop Parks and Recreation, 151 Pauline St., Winthrop MA 02152. Checks can be made payable to Town of Winthrop.
