Something to Shout about

The Winthrop Vikings needed a fourth-quarter burst to beat Danvers Friday night, Oct. 24, 27-16. That burst came in the form of a Vikings’ passing attack that preserved the perfect record (7-0) and delivered a Northeastern Conference South championship for the first time since 2006.
Late in the fourth quarter, however, Winthrop was down three points and things were looking uncertain. However, Quarterback Dylan Driscoll rose to the occasion and completed two long passes to get Winthrop into scoring position and take the lead. Senior Jordan Atkins and the Viking cheerleaders are a happy bunch after the undefeated Vikings clinched the Northeast Conference South title with a 27-16 win at Danvers Friday night.
