upcoming season, the Winthrop Harbormasters are prepping their boats for launch. Full time patrolling
starts on May 1, but the harbormasters are hoping to have their three boats in the water
next week. On Sunday, Deputy Harbormasters Kevin Janielis and Mark Sorrentino were painting
the fleet with a new coat of anti-fouling paint. This paint will keep the hulls clean and free from
being covered in sea life growth once they are in the water.
Mark Sorrentino applies a fresh coat of pain to the stern of the Pump Out
boat. After last season and the winter, her hull needs some care and maintenance.
