Dominic Torchetti

Of Winthrop

Dominic Torchetti of Winthrop died on December 20. The devoted father of Ann Cerato and her husband, Gregg of New Hampshire, Linda Silvestro and her husband, Mark of Rowley and Nancy Marshall of Florida, he was the dear brother of Dolly Paciotti and Rachel D’Eramo, both of Melrose, and the late John Torchetti; cherished grandfather of Mark, Christopher, Kara and Shannon. Family and friends will honor Dominic’s life by gathering Saturday, December 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Serenity Chapel of the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston with a service starting at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers and to honor Dom’s life, donations may be made to JDRF, 26 Broadway, 14th fl, New York, N.Y 1004. Thomas Colvario

Retired Teamster

Thomas Colvario of Shirley Street, Winthrop passed away the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on December 16 after a brief illness. He was 70 years old. Born in Boston, the beloved son of the late Madeline (Carterano) and Joseph Colvario. He grew up in the North End of Boston and moved to Winthrop over 48 years ago. At an early age he enlisted in the US Army. After his discharge, he went to work driving tractor trailers. He was a member of the Teamsters and a former member the Don Orione Choir and the St. Lazarus Church Choir.  He was the loving husband of Claire (White) and the dear brother of Joseph Colvario and his wife, Jean of Winthrop, Maria Minchella of Beverly and the late Stephen, Anthony and John Colvario. He is also survived by one nephew and six nieces.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley Funeral Home, Winthrop. Carole Michaud

Retired Winthrop School System Cafeteria Worker

Carole Michaud, a resident of Winthrop for many years, died on December 16 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital surrounded by friends and relatives.

A retired cafeteria worker for the Winthrop School System, she was the beloved wife of Jack Michaud and is also survived by her sister, Lois Hardy and her husband, Paul of Malden, her niece, Lynn Bova and her husband, Anthony Bova and their son, Anthony Bova, Jr., of Wakefield, her nephew, Bruce Cataldo and his wife, Judy and godson, Bob Cataldo of Everett. She will also be missed by her long time best friend, Janice George and her daughter, Cathy of Winthrop.

Services will be held at a later date.
