Belle Isle Bridge Opening Ceremony: Reconstruction Was Worth the Inconvenience

We understand that there will be a ceremony next week marking the completion of the  Belle Isle Bridge renovation project. Those who travel over the bridge in and out of Winthrop have to be impressed with the new look. Looking at the brand new structure and roadway, one could say it was certainly worth the wait and slight inconvenience during the construction,  now that we see the new bridge and not to mention what must be the improved safety aspect of the structure.

Town Manager James McKenna, who has kept the town abreast of the ongoing Belle Isle Bridge project, announced at the last Council meeting that the ceremony would be held next Thursday.
