Amvets Post 48 Hosts Luncheon for United States War Veterans

The Amvets Post 48 of Winthrop hosted a barbecue Friday at the Deane Winthrop House and paid tribute to veterans at the New England Center for Homeless Veterans. The Post thanked the veterans for their service to this country. Shown above at the event are, from left, Bob Hanafin, Joe Dow, Town Council President Peter Gill, and town historian David Hubbard. In the photo, left, are some of volunteers who helped prepare and serve the delicious barbecue luncheon for the veterans.
