Richard Alfred Ross of Newbury died in Burlington. He was 86 years old.
A US Navy Aviator veteran of World War II and a retired Text Book Rep for McGraw Hill, he was born in Winthrop and was the husband of Helen (McNab) Ross; father of David M. Ross of Newbury and Susan and her husband, Douglas Johnson of Hampstead, NH; grandfather of Taylor and Connor Johnson; brother of Robert D. Ross of Wells, ME and Marion Dowdell of Canada.
Visiting hours are Sunday, November 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Memorial services will be held at St. Paul’s Church, High Street, Newburyport on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. Family and friends are invited. Private burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newburyport.
