The Winthrop ferry service being operated by Boston Harbor Cruises will offer an introductory “Free Ferry Day†on Sunday, June 26.
All scheduled ferry runs on that day will be free to the public on a first come-first serve basis. Passage is limited to the vessel’s Coast Guard-certified capacity of 149 passengers. The ferry service operates between the Winthrop Town Landing on Shirley Street and Rowe’s Wharf in Boston.
The schedule for “Free Ferry Day†is as follows: Vessel departs Winthrop: 9 a.m, 2 p.m., and 7:15 p.m.; vessel departs Rowe’s Wharf: 1 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m.;
Boston Harbor Cruises is offering weekend service between Winthrop and Boston from at least July 2 through the end of August.
