Great Job, Lee: Disabilities Fair was Informative

We want to commend Lee Dzedulionis, chairperson of the Winthrop Commission on Disabilities, and the commission itself for sponsoring an outstanding event, the Disability Resource Fair, that was held at the Winthrop Senior Center last Saturday.

It was the Commission’s first endeavor of this magnitude and several health providers and organizations had information booths for the benefit of disabled individuals and families who came to receive information about the services available for disabled individuals. We noted the presence of Town Councilor Jeanne Maggio at the event, who reinforced the Town Council Health Subcommittee’s advocacy for disabled residents.

There was much information available at the event and it showed that the town’s disabled residents have a tremendous advocate in Lee Dzedulionis,  leading the way for them and making sure their interests are always in the forefront when it comes to accessibility, services, and other matters.
