Jenny Fucillo was the top performer for the Winthrop High girls indoor track team at the Northeastern Conference Meet held last Thursday at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
The talented senior grabbed second place in the 55 meter hurdles in a time of 9.48 seconds. She then came back to take another second place in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet even, which was just ´ inch off the winning jump of 16-.50.
Also scoring points for the Lady Viking cause and winning individual ribbons were speedster Cortney Nolan, who took fifth in the 55 meter dash in 8.00 seconds. Lauren MacMullen earned a trip to the ribbon table with a toss of 30-1 in the shotput.
The 4 x 800 relay team added a point to the Winthrop tally sheet with a sixth place effort.
