Council President Tom Reilly has announced that the annual public forum on the delivery of town services will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 PM at the Senior Center, 35 Harvard Street. Town Manager James McKenna together with the town department heads and all of the elected and appointed officials will be in attendance.
Article 9 Section12 of the town charter requires an open public forum on town services to be convened by the council president in October and another on town finances in March. Individual speakers will be allowed up to five minutes each to ask questions or present comments
In announcing the forum Reilly said “The charter requires these open forums in order to give the citizens the opportunity to bring matters of concern to the attention of the elected and appointed officials. We will have some brief presentations and then will hear from the citizens. The intent is to respond to questions raised by the public and to hear their comments and ideas.â€
