Saint Michael the Archangel Parish held its (6th) 26th Annual Golf Tournament on August 31 at Winthrop Golf Club. The scramble format game raised funds for Youth Ministry faith formation programs, and included raffle prizes and a barbecue lunch. This was Father Paul Aveni’s first tournament as pastor; and he expressed his gratefulness for participants’ generosity before teams began their rounds.
“We pray that this be a day of fun and good sportsmanship,” blessed Father Aveni. “We pray for the safety of those playing, and we pray for good fellowship and community.”
