Alice Haskell
Longtime Chairperson of the Winthrop Council on Aging and member of the Winthrop Catholic Woman’s Club
Alice J. (Cardillo) Haskell, 88, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2026.
Born September 19, 1937 in Boston, Alice was the beloved daughter of the late Josephine and Domenic Cardillo. Alice was the beloved wife of the late Leo Louis Haskell Jr. with whom she shared 33 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Patricia Brugman and her husband, Jack, Kathleen Haskell-Masterson and her husband, Bob of Winthrop, Leo L. Haskell III and his wife Julie, all of Winthrop, Susan Haskell of Lynn and Donna Garrow and her husband, Lyle of Epping, NH; the proud and loving grandmother to Connor and his wife, Tara, Leo L. IV, Christopher and Patrick, Cassidy and her fiancé, Seth, Cooper, Christine her loving caregiver, Julie and her loving grand-pup, Koda. Nothing brought her greater happiness than her family.
She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of whom she shared special relationships.
Alice was predeceased by her sisters Marie Trainor and Joanne Capprini, her sister-in-law, Judith Ordung and her lifelong friends, Bette Conley and Marilyn “Cookie” Soper.
Alice will be remembered for her commitment to Winthrop Council on Aging of which she was chairperson for many years. She was a past member of the Friends of Winthrop Council on Aging at the Robert A. DeLeo Senior Center. She is also a Member of the Winthrop Catholic Woman’s Club.
The funeral was conducted from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church. Services concluded with the interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop.

Jennifer Marley

Jennifer M. Marley of Deerfield Beach, Florida, formerly of Winthrop, passed away suddenly March 3, 2026. She was 35 years old. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of Eileen M. (Buckley) and the late Albert L. Marley Jr. of Winthrop. Jennifer was raised in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School, Class of 2008. She later moved to Florida, obtaining a degree in nursing from Broward College in 2021. Jennifer was presently employed as an RN at the FHE Health and Recovery Center, a licensed drug and alcohol recovery facility for first responders. Jennifer had a passion for helping people whenever she could. She attended church regularly, enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Jennifer is survived by her mother, Eileen and her dear brother Kevin Marley of Winthrop. She was the adored granddaughter, of the late Marie E. (Barry) and Morton J. “Red” Buckley and the late Elaine M. (Sacco) and Albert L. Marley Sr. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in St. Michael the Archangel Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop, MA, on Saturday, April 11 at 10 a.m. Please meet directly at church.
