Please join us this friday, september 16 at the winthrop elks lodge in the biggio hall where our lodge officers will conduct a ritual in remembrance of those men and women who, in their darkest hour, became prisoners of war or missing in action. The event is scheduled to start at 7 P.M.
The public is welcome to attend this solemn ceremony.
To celebrate the formation of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, the first ever parish picnic will be held Sunday, September 25. In place of the 11:00 and 12:00 Masses that day, there will be a special 11:30 Mass which will be followed by festivities, including: live music, face painting, arts & crafts, games and a bouncy house, along with a barbecue, cold drinks, and desserts. This is also a great opportunity to meet new parish staff members. The picnic will take place in the parking lot of Saint John the Evangelist Church on Ocean View Street, but will be moved inside to the gym if it rains. Tickets are $5 per person or $15 a family. All members of the community are welcome.
Take part in some food, fellowship and fun September 25 with a special Mass at 11:30 and the picnic to follow. Tickets can be purchased through the parish office at 30 Ocean View Street or by calling 617-846-7400.
