This past Saturday a little after 1 p.m. this unfortunate mishap took place at the boat ramp. An unnamed driver was backing a watercraft down the ramp when apparently the brakes slipped and pulled to 2003 Ford Expedition into the water. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed out of the water by G&J Towing. Winthrop Police, Fire and the Winthrop Harbormaster all responded.
