Delehanty report that the Massachusetts state 911 system is currently experiencing intermittent interruption of service related to problems with a nationwide internet service provider. This is a national problem also impacting most of Massachusetts, including here in Winthrop.
As a result, residents are temporarily urged contact the police or fire department for assistance by dialing the following direct numbers:
