Matt Serino Inducted in to Saugus High Hall of Fame

Winthrop High School Athletic Director Matt Serino was inducted in to the Saugus High Athletic Hall of Fame at a banquet Friday night at the Saugus Elks. Serino was a Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic ice hockey player and helped lead the Sachems to back-to-back Division 2 state titles in 2003 and 2004. Pictured at the induction ceremony are, from left, Barbara Wall and Rich Salerno of the Hall of Fame Committee, inductee Matt Serino, and State Rep. Donald Wong. Matt’s wife, Sabrina Cataldo Serino, a three-sport standout, was also inducted into the SHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
