That was certainly an honor for our esteemed state senator, Joseph Boncore, who was called up by U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren to help moderate the question-and-answer portion of Sen. Warren’s Town Hall meeting at Revere High School. It was clear that Joe has developed a productive working relationship with Sen. Warren that will benefit Winthrop residents. Sen. Warren drew a large crowd to the RHS auditorium, answering questions directly from her constituents. One guest in the audience mentioned the possibility of Sen. Warren running for President in 2020, but the state’s senior senator said she is focused on the issues at hand at this time.
Meanwhile, Boncore has been representing our town well on Beacon Hill, teaming up with Speaker of the House Robert A. DeLeo, whose leadership has turly been outstanding. Sen. Boncore and Speaker DeLeo will be the featured guests at the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Luncheon on Monday.
