The polls are open until 8 p.m. for today’s (Thursday) election and we hope you’ll vote if you haven’t done so. The election for Sheriff of Suffolk County and Register of Deeds are on the ballot while Winthrop residents can reward the outstanding leadership on Beacon Hill by our own Speaker of the House, Robert A. DeLeo, with a vote, as well as Winthrop’s state senator (and doesn’t that sound great), Joe Boncore, who has been such a bright addition to our delegation.
Town Clerk Carla Vitale and her staff have done a great job preparing for this election and for the upcoming Presidential Election on November 8.
