The Winthrop School of Performing Arts had a lot to celebrate this past year.  In addition to several performances including a Holiday Show, piano, guitar and voice recitals, Acting Showcases and Summer Dance and Theatre Camps and two Dance showcases, the organization was marking their 30th year of teaching Winthrop how to sing, dance, act and play instruments. “It has been a pleasure watching these kids grow up and eventually bring their own kids back to the school,†said Director Trudy Macero. With the school re-opening for its’ 31st year, Macero’s daughter, Jaime Montesano will take on role of Director, where she will continue to teach and take over the daily duties. While she certainly is not retiring, this will give Macero the opportunity to focus on the artistic direction of the school. “I absolutely love what I do!
