WCAT TO AIR LIVE CALL-IN SHOW TONIGHT ON NEW FEMA FLOOD ZONES

Elliot Whittier Insurance will sponsor a live special edition of Community Forum with Ron Vecchia on Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. The live call in show is being presented as a public service to the residents of Winthrop who have questions regarding the new FEMA Flood Zone maps, which take effect on March 16, 2016. Residents are asked to call 617-846-3400 starting at 6 p.m. with their names and location in order that the EWI staff has proper time to research their location on the new FEMA maps.

WCAT staff will call back the residents and they will be allowed to ask questions on air regarding any change in status regarding the new flood zone in their area.

Elliot Whittier Insurance is sponsoring the program as a public service and will answer as many questions as possible, however residents are urged to contact their own insurance agents with specific questions regarding their specific needs.

If you own property in Winthrop you may have questions about the impending flood map changes that will take effect on March 16, 2016. This is a great chance for you to ask questions about how these new flood maps may affect you and what you can do ahead of time to save money on flood insurance.

For more show information call 617-846-7959 or ronvec@comcast.net
