Town honors Vietnam Veteran Richard Honan

Richard Honan served with 82nd Airborne in Vietnam. Upon his return to Winthrop he has been active in various veteran related activities. He organized and was the spearhead of trees for troops sending care packages to our military men and women who were serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Richard and his volunteers did this for 21 years. Today he still actively supports the veterans serving as the co-chair of the Veterans Day and Memorial Day ceremonies with the VSO Phil Ronan.
