Winthrop Lodge of Elks End of Summer Kickoff for the building improvement fundraiser

Exalted Ruler of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078 Paul Dawson and his suite of officer’s appeal to family and friends from the surrounding communities they serve as friends and benefactors.

The Winthrop Elks has long been known for its generosity and hospitality to the Town of Winthrop and surrounding communities. Offering its fabulous function facilities for all the good causes that ask. The upgrades to this facility has gone to help local organizations such as the WHS Hockey fundraising events, WHS Football banquets, the Town of Winthrop Ballot recounts, hosting the Winthrop Explorer Post, WHS Scholarship nights, fundraising events for the fireworks committee, and many veteran events. The list can go on but most importantly the building is 100 years old and needs repairs to continue with its generous history.

On September 19, the Winthrop Lodge of Elks is hosting a major fundraiser, with a grand prize of $7,500.00, second prize of $2,000.00, and a third prize of $500.00. The tickets are $100 dollars each with a guest ticket (not included in then drawing) of $25.00. A limited number of tickets will be sold. There is a potential of other $500 dollar drawings per every 100 tickets sold. The $100 dollar ticket includes all cash drawings, both tickets include the pig roast, hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, corn on the cob, coleslaw, beans, and corn bread. If you have attended any of the Winthrop Elks events in the past, you know there will be plenty to eat for all.

Exalted Ruler Paul Dawson and his officers want to reach out to all that they have helped out in the past, and new friends that will become part of the Elk’s extended family to help with this important and necessary fund-raising event. You do not need to be present to win the cash prizes, if you choose not to attend for any reason, but want to help the lodge in this endeavor.

Entertainment will be on the venue for the day, featuring DJ Crazy Jeff, and live music provided by the Neighborhood Dog Band. Both entertainers have graciously donated their time and talents to help the Winthrop Lodge of Elks.

Did someone say raffles? Of course there will be raffles. 50/50 and door prizes will be available at the event.
