The Winthrop Improvement & Historical Association (WIHA) is pleased to announce that the 112th Strawberry Festival will be held on Saturday, June 13th, Rain or Shine. The festival’s hours are from noon to 4pm in the Deane Winthrop Gardens, 40 Shirley Street, Winthrop, MA.
The $10 admission fee entitles you to a serving of our famous Strawberry Shortcake. We will offer our own Strawberry Festival Daiquiris and Strawberry Festival Sangria and local craft beer. Our new food court will feature hot dogs, pizza, popcorn and more! Food and beverages will be available for an additional modest charge.
We’ll have Strawberry Festival raffles, face painting, and games for the kids, The historic 375-year-old Deane Winthrop House will be open that day for guided tours. Music is courtesy of John Polino who will trade sets with Kristen & Richie of Sunset Studios Boston. There will be a large tent to protect everyone from the weather and porta-potties for everyone’s convenience.
Please leave your pets at home. We love our furry friends, but the Festival is not pet-friendly. Thank you for understanding.

Marks Company for donating delicious strawberries and fresh cream; and the Winthrop Marketplace for donating fabulous biscuits.
