The Winthrop Chamber of Commerce has introduced Winthropoly, the ultimate board game that puts a hometown spin on the classic game of Monopoly. The game was launched as part of the Chamber’s 75th-anniversary celebration.
Winthropoly features local landmarks, beloved businesses, and community favorites, allowing players to buy up familiar places like Shirley Street or Revere Street. Instead of houses, players build up businesses, and instead of landing in Jail, players might land in “Harbor Traffic!”.
The game is described as fun for the whole family, a perfect gift, and a great way to support local businesses.
The limited-edition board game is $39.00. Only 600 copies of the game were made, making it a limited-edition Christmas or Hanukkah gift.
Winthropoly can be purchased in-person at the Chamber office, located at 207 Hagman Road, or online through their website: winthropchamber.com/product/winthropoly/.
