Richard F. DiMento

The recent passing of Richard F. DiMento marked the loss of a man who truly loved our town and the people of our little seaside community.

Mr. DiMento served on the Board of Selectmen during two separate tenures in the late 1980s and then again in the early 2000s. He was a long-time Town Meeting member and was well-known among many of our residents in his capacity as the manager of the Winthrop Yacht Club for decades.

Mr. DiMento also founded Cottage Hill Real Estate in 2007, which he and his family have turned into one of the key players in Winthrop’s business community.

We know we join with all of our long-time fellow residents in offering our condolences to his large family, especially his lovely wife Emilie (with whom Richard co-founded their real estate business) and their children, as well as Richard’s many dear and close friends, some of whom he had known since early childhood.
