The Winthrop Republican Town Committee is pleased to announce that WBZ-TV Chief Investigative Reporter Cheryl Fiandaca will be the Moderator of “Meet the Congressional Candidates Night”. Fiandaca is an award winning reporter on the regional and national frontlines. Cheryl Fiandaca is experienced covering and reporting on major national and local events for years.
Meet the Candidates Night will take place on Thursday October 9 at 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00)at the Winthrop Senior Center on Harvard Street in Winthrop. This event will help inform voters, result in stronger leaders, and build a successful community. All are invited to attend this free, non-partisan event.
Format:
1. Town Council Candidates: Candidates will be asked 2-3 questions and will have one minute to respond, plus candidates will have an opportunity for a 3 minute open address.
2. School Committee Candidates (including Council President Candidates): Candidates will be asked 2 questions and have an opportunity for a 2 minute open address.
3. Housing Authority & Library Trustee Candidates: Candidates will have 2-3 minute open address regarding their candidacy(no Q & A)
All Candidates have been invited to participate. The WRTC hopes all residents will use this opportunity to know the candidates, and they will be prepared to cast a well informed vote in our November 4 election. For more information go to the Winthrop Republican Town Committee’s Facebook page.
