The following incident reports are among the calls to which the Winthrop Police Department responded on the listed dates. The log is a public record and available for review. All persons who are arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sunday, August 17

0023: Officers dispersed a loud group of youths from the backyard of a Shirley St. residence.

1535: A person came into the station to report that his cell phone had been stolen from the vacuum section at a local car wash. When he called his number, a person answered and said he would have to pay $150 to get his phone back. The officer filed a report.

Monday, August 18

0132: An officer issued parking tickets to 10 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Court Rd.

0752: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Winthrop St. for the civil moving infraction of violating the hands-free law. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Shirley and Underhill Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. at the high school for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Cross St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Cross St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. at the high school for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. When the officer discovered that the vehicle’s registration had expired, which is a civil infraction, the officer gave a verbal warning to the operator for both offenses.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Cross St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pauline St. for the civil moving infraction of violating the hands-free law. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

— An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Sargent St. for the civil moving infraction of a brake light violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0857: An officer dispersed a person sleeping in a camper from the Public Landing.

1104: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1123: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Hermon St. for the civil moving infraction of a marked lanes violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1300: An officer informed persons who had a pod storage container on Somerset Ave. that they are required to obtain a permit from the DPW.

1401: A person called the station to report that his foot had been run over by a motor vehicle that was backing up at the Mobil Mart on Main St. The victim was transported to the MGH.

1809: A Fremont St. resident reported that a pet bird flew into her apartment through an open window. She said she would hold onto the bird to await a call from the owner.

1813: Officers responded to a two-car auto accident at Walden and Lincoln Sts. The airbags deployed and one of the vehicles was leaking fluids. One person was transported to the hospital. An officer issued a citation to one of the operators. Both vehicles were towed.

2337: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Winthrop St. for the civil moving infraction of a lane violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

Tuesday, August 19

0021: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shore Drive for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

0050: An officer dispersed a person in a motor vehicle from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark.

0134: An officer issued parking tickets to 18 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Somerset Ave.

0143: An officer issued parking tickets to 20 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Highland Ave.

0814: An officer ordered a tow for a motor vehicle with $641.26 in unpaid parking tickets. When a female party became disorderly, the officers arrested Jacqueline R. Reddington, 36, of 59 Sewall Ave., for the criminal offense of disorderly conduct.

1208: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of excessive window tint. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1252: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Shirley and Forrest Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a one-way violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1314:  An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Ocean View St. for the civil moving infraction of a one-way violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1659: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of a one-way violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

1732: A Central St. resident came into the station to drop off a bicycle that he had found in his driveway.

1822: An officer stopped a motor vehicle in the car wash on Main St. and arrested the operator, Hector M. Pinillos-Gonzalez, 31, of East Boston, for the criminal offense of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. His vehicle was towed.

1930: An officer directed persons doing construction work with a drill on a retaining wall to cease doing so for the night.

2105: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Ave. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

2112: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2135: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of a number plate violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2154: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2237: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of operating without headlights after dark. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

Wednesday, August 20

0113: An officer issued parking tickets to 10 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Morton St.

0126: An officer issued parking tickets to 10 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Woodside Ave. and Bartlett Rd.

0802: Officers responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident between a Honda HR-V and a truck at Pauline and Pleasant Sts. Witnesses at the scene said the truck failed to stop for a red light. A female operator was transported to the MGH and her dog was brought to a residence. The Honda was towed. The officer filed a report.

1054: Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle drove into a utility pole at Washington Ave. and Veterans Rd. The vehicle was towed.

1259: A tow company reported the trespass tow of a motor vehicle from Governors Park.

1303: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of a crosswalk violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1426: A tow company reported the trespass tows of two motor vehicles from Governors Park.

1753: Officer Carter assisted a family with the installation of a child car seat.

2016: A tow company reported the trespass tow of a motor vehicle from Governors Park.

Thursday, August 21

0154: An officer issued parking tickets to nine vehicles without resident parking stickers on the lower end of Winthrop St.

0751: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a minor fender-bender motor vehicle accident on Main St.

1014: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

2018: An officer directed a crew doing construction work at a Revere St. residence to cease doing so for the night per the town by-law.

2141: A repossession company reported the repo of a motor vehicle.

2247: An officer dispersed persons in two motor vehicles from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark.

2332: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Ave. for the civil moving infraction of a lights violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2356: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

Friday, August 21

0131: An officer issued parking tickets to 15 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Buchanan St., Fremont St., Jefferson Ave., and Sunnyside Ave.

0133: An officer issued parking tickets to eight vehicles without resident parking stickers on Crest Ave.

0140: An officer issued parking tickets to 11 vehicles without resident parking stickers on Court and Lowell Rds.

0944: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Revere and Argyle Sts. for a civil moving infraction. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

1044: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Shore Drive and Underhill St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1156: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Moore St. for the civil moving infraction of a one-way violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1219: An officer directed the operator of a motor vehicle parked in a handicapped spot on Woodside Ave. to move the vehicle.

1237: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Main St. for a civil moving infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1248: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of an expired inspection sticker. The officer gave a written warning to the operator.

1556: An officer ordered a tow for a parked motor vehicle with a registration revoked for insurance cancellation on Shirley St. The officer filed a report.

1945: An officer issued parking tickets to two vehicles on Walden St., one for parking too closely to the corner and the other for parking in a bus lane.

2029: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Sea Foam Ave. and Shirley St. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2240: A tow company reported the trespass tows of three motor vehicles from Governors Park.

2322: An officer dispersed persons in two motor vehicles from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark.

2342: An officer directed a Cottage Ave. homeowner playing music loudly in his backyard to shut it down for the night.

Saturday, August 23

0111: An officer issued parking tickets to four vehicles without resident parking stickers on Neptune Ave.

0117: An officer issued parking tickets to six vehicles without resident parking stickers on Winthrop St.

0120: An officer issued parking tickets to six vehicles without resident parking stickers on Moore St.

0124: An officer issued parking tickets to four vehicles without resident parking stickers on Trident Ave.

0242: An officer directed persons playing music loudly in the garage of a Cottage Ave. residence to shut it down for the night. This was the same address from a similar call a few hours earlier.

0932: An officer ordered a tow for a boat trailer with an expired registration at the Public Landing. 0954: A tow company reported the trespass tow of a motor vehicle from Governors Park.

1011: An officer directed the operator of a motor vehicle blocking a hydrant on Beacon Circle to move the vehicle.

1248: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Perkins St. for the civil moving infraction of violating the hands-free law. The officer gave a warning to the operator for that offense, as well as for the civil infraction of not having his registration in his possession.

1441: An officer stopped a motor vehicle at Walden and Main Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1605: An officer ordered a tow for a boat trailer with an expired registration at the Public Landing.

1608: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle in the No Parking Here to Corner section of Tileston Rd. and Shore Drive.

1703: An officer issued parking tickets to two vehicles on Marshall St.

1738: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle in the tow zone section of Cutler St. and Shore Drive. The owner moved the vehicle before it was towed.

2101: An officer issued parking tickets to two vehicles at Crystal Cove and Park Aves., one for blocking a handicapped ramp and the other for blocking a crosswalk.

2115: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle in the No Parking Here to Corner section at Thornton Park and Washington Ave.
