Vincent Oliva Jr., 97, of Hampstead, NH, formerly of Beverly and Winthrop, died peacefully on January 7, 2025.
Vincent was predeceased by his wife, Anna M. Oliva and his daughter, Diane Oliva Melanson. He is survived by his children: Vincent III and his wife, Mary Ann of Virginia, his daughter, Marie Sacco of Beverly and his sister, Bruna Gullotti and her husband, Roger of Reading. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and by his partner of many years, Anne Dean of Hampstead, NH.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Tuesday, January 14th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12 noon. Services will conclude with the interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.

Mary Jane Mahoney
She will be remembered for her kindness, her laugh and her twinkling Irish eyes.
Mary Jane Mahoney of Winthrop, 91, passed peacefully at home on December 31, 2024.
The daughter of the late James and Lulu Mahoney of Stoneham, Mary was one of nine and the loving sister to: Penny Cappalli of Michigan and Carol Ahern and the late Theresa Dinardi, Ruth Whelton, Dorothy Tassinari, James, Jeremiah and William Mahoney. She was the devoted mother (“Ma”) of seven: the late Michael Delehanty (and wife Emily), the late Maureen Delehanty, Sean Delehanty (and wife Denise), Kevin Delehanty (and wife Carol), Noreen Huff (and husband Stan) of Florida, Brian Delehanty, and Terry Delehanty (and wife, Marcy). Mary was a beloved Nana and cherished her 14 grandchildren: Michael, Erin, Patrick and Lauren Delehanty; Meghan, Michael, Daniel, Matthew and Ryan Delehanty; Stephanie, Stephen and John Delehanty; Jennifer and Sarah Delehanty; Anthony Angenica and Christa Zeuch, Robin Croce and her children, Kayla and Kevin Croce; and two great-grandchildren: Michael Anyon and Ariana Kompe. Mary is survived by many loving and loved nieces, nephews, and friends who are family.
Mary was a hard worker at home and a dedicated employee – she loved her job as a recreational activities coordinator and her coworkers at Eastpointe in Chelsea until she retired at 86. She inspired her family with her courage and drive, earning an Associates Degree from Bunker Hill Community College at 60. Mary had a joyous, purposeful life and will be remembered for her kindness, her laugh, and her twinkling Irish eyes.
A funeral mass was celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Committal was private.
