Daniel H. Megquier passed away peacefully at Beth Israel in Boston on May 24, 2024 at the age of 68.
He was predeceased by his mother, Audrey (Sears) Megquier of Winthrop, his father, Harold A. Megquier, of Orient, Maine, and his half-sister, Denise Megquier of Maine. He is survived by his sons: Daniel P. Megquier of Sanford, Maine, and Sean R. Taverna of Somerville, Massachusetts; his siblings: Lynda McDonough of Florida, Kelley Megquier of Waltham, Donna Megquier of Waltham and half-siblings, Deborah and Diane Megquier of Maine. He will be missed by his nephew, Joseph McDonough, nieces, Madeleine and Lulu Ohm and by the many friends he made along the way.
Danny will be remembered for his childhood nickname (Ruffy), his knowing smirk, quick laugh, and propensity for finding trouble. His happiest times most recently were spent with his buddy and companion, Bear, a sweet natured and loyal pup. Bear will miss Danny greatly, but is well taken care of.
Danny will be cremated, and his family will celebrate his life privately. We invite you to honor his memory in your own personal way.

Stanley “Pete” Peters Jr.
Retiree of the Taxi and Livery Industry
Stanley “Pete” Peters Jr. of Winthrop passed away on May 29. He was 68 years old. Stanley was the cherished son of the late Eleanor (King) Campbell and Stanley F. Peters Sr.
A US Army veteran, he served from 1974-1976. Prior to his retirement, Stanley was employed in the taxi and livery industry.
Stanley was the dear brother of Terri Kinlin and her husband, Robert of New Hampshire, Kimberly Kinlin and her husband, Kenneth of Methuen, Michelle Fielding and her husband, Michael of Winthrop, Carole Wesoja and her husband, Bernie of New Hampshire and the late John and Michael Peters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, (St. Michael’s Parish), 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop on Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Caring for a Cure, Mass General Hospital Cancer Center, @cfacmgh).

Maureen Yarrow
Dedicated Travel Agent Who Leaves Behind a Legacy of Kindness, Generosity and a Love for Life
Maureen E. Yarrow, a beloved resident of Winthrop and a dedicated travel agent, passed away peacefully on May 28 at the age of 81. She was born on November 4, 1942 in Winthrop, where she lived her entire life.
As a travel agent, she helped countless individuals and families create unforgettable memories through her expertise and dedication to her work. In addition to her professional career, Maureen was an active member of the Pleasant Park Yacht Club, where she enjoyed spending time with friends and fellow members.
Maureen will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a love for life that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
She was the loving mother of Christopher Yarrow and his wife, Lisa of Winthrop; dear sister of Deborah Case of Lynnfield and the late Charles C. Yarrow; cherished grandmother of Kayla, Samuel and the late Christopher Yarrow and loving sister in law of Alice Kneeland. She was the beloved daughter of the late Anne (Kelleher) and Charles Yarrow.
A funeral service was held in the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home on Monday, June 3. Rev. Christopher O’Connor celebrated the services and offered prayers at the interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetry.
