Winthrop High School will hold its graduation exercises Friday at 6 p.m. at Miller Field. One-hundred-and-forty-one students in the Class of 2024 will be receiving their high school diplomas. Class President Hannah Parker will deliver the presidential address.
Samantha DiMento will deliver the valedictory speech. John Tracy will deliver the salutatory speech. Supt. of Schools Lisa Howard and Principal Matt Crombie will address the graduates at the ceremonies. Town Manager Tony Marino, Town Council President James Letterie, Rep. Jeff Turco, Sen. Lydia Edwards, Police Chief Terence Delehanty, Fire Chief Scott Wiley, and members of the Winthrop School Committee are among the dignitaries who have been invited to attend the event. Individual scholarships and major awards such as the Bentley Swift Memorial Cup, Wallace B. McLean Athletic Award, and the Mike Eruzione Olympic Spirit Award, will be presented during the program.
