Janice Flaherty Robblee

She Will Be Deeply Missed But Never Forgotten

Janice E. (Garrison) Flaherty Robblee of Woburn, formerly of Winthrop, died peacefully on January 28 with her husband by her side at the age of 65.

She was the beloved wife and best friend of Roy Robblee.

Born and raised in Winthrop, Janice was a daughter of the late Warren and Gretchen (Garbutt) Garrison. She graduated from Winthrop High School and went on to receive both her bachelor and master’s degrees in education from Framingham State College.

For over 24 years, Janice taught Food and Nutrition at the Joyce Middle School in Woburn. While working there, Janice met and fell in love with Roy Robblee. They both had a love of musical arts and were married at the North Shore Music Theater.

Janice was an avid traveler and was blessed to have visited so many places throughout her life. In the summers, she enjoyed spending time at Sebago Lake in Maine and camping in Nova Scotia. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to experience life. After marrying, Jan and Roy traveled to Ireland, Scotland, Mexico and Canada

Janice was an intelligent, organized, positive and funny woman. She lit up a room with her smile and always dealt with every situation head on. She was a force to be reckoned with but fiercely loyal. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Eugene Flaherty III of Winthrop and was thew loving stepmother of Jason Robblee, his wife Allison Dorsey of Lowell, Tim Robblee, his wife Michelle of Salem, NH and Chris Robblee, his wife Felicia of California; loving daughter of Gretchen Garrison of Florida and the late Warren Garrison; dear sister of Heather, her husband Bryan of Wakefield; treasured friend of Susan and John Tomich of Lynnfield, Paul and Maryanne Scalley of Woburn and Linda Tabbut of Winthrop.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4 to 7 p.m., today, Thursday, February 2nd in the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn. Her Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 3 at 11 a.m. in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 225 Bowdoin Street (corner of Bowdoin St and Buchanan St), Winthrop. All attending are asked to meet directly at the Church. Burial to follow in Winthrop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jan’s memory to Friends Helping Seniors  c/o Woburn Senior Center, 144 School St., Woburn MA 01801
