Annual Winthrop Police Toy Drive Is Now Underway

Winthrop Police Department will be conducting their annual Toy Drive for families and children in need of assistance. There is a drop off box in the Winthrop Police Station Lobby 24/7 from now until mid-December for people to drop off toys.

On Sunday December 5, 2021, from 5pm-7pm at the Cummings School loop there will be a toy drop off event where your children can take a picture with Santa while dropping gifts off to Santa so he can pass them along to a family in need.

Last year, because of the communities’ support, we were able to provide toys for over 60 Winthrop families (over 200 children). Your efforts enabled us to support the non-profits Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center, Harbor Cove Domestic Violence Center, East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, Winthrop CLEAR Team, St. John’s Church and Winthrop Public Schools. We also assisted 20 elderly citizens with Supplies for Christmas Dinner.

Santa and the Winthrop Police Department thank you for making Winthrop always at the top of Santa’s good list.

If you are in need of assistance this year please email Officer Samantha Petersen at [email protected] in the subject line please type toy drive.
