Misses the Cartoon

Dear Editor:

Has anyone else noticed something lacking or missing in the newspaper the past few weeks?  If not, I will tell you:  the absence of the weekly cartoon drawn  and captioned by Louis Rizzo.

For as long as I can remember, I looked forward to seeing the cartoon  published in the newspaper. The cartoon served as a reminder of  holidays (Memorial Day, Independence  Day, Earth day etc.) or relevant topics  such as Voting, Mask wearing).   Each cartoon exhibited Louis’ excellent drawing skills and his creativeness.

I will miss seeing  his  clever cartoons, and wanted to publicly thank him for sharing his  artistic gift with us and to wish him the best in his well deserved retirement.

 Gail Paris
