The following incident reports are among the calls to which the Winthrop Police Department responded on the listed dates:

Monday, Aug. 17

1000: A resident came into the station to report a possible identity theft in regard to the purchase of a cell phone that he did not order.

Tuesday, Aug. 18

0836: An officer retrieved hypodermic syringes that had been found by a resident at Coughlin Park.

1131: An officer issued a parking ticket to a motor vehicle (MV) parked on Otis St. without a resident sticker.

1823: An officer assisted with a disabled MV at the Public Landing.

1958: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Magee’s Corner.

Wednesday, Aug. 19

0220: An officer issued parking tickets to two motor vehicles on Hutchinson St.

0231: An officer issued a parking ticket to a motor vehicle on Nevada St.

0237: An officer directed a group of loud-partygoers on a balcony at Governor’s Park to take it inside for the night.

0306: An officer returned to the location of the previous call and directed them once again to keep their noise down.

0321: An officer issued two parking tickets to motor vehicles without resident parking stickers on Sea Foam Ave.

0335: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV on Palmyra St.

0812: A Woodside Ave. resident reported that her dog had gotten away in the vicinity of the CVS parking lot.

1242: An officer stopped a MV on Shore Drive and arrested two persons, a 36 year-old Brockton woman on an outstanding warrant and a 37 year-old East Boston man on an outstanding warrant.

1442: An officer stood by as a No Trespass order was issued by the Winthrop Housing Authority to a male party on Sunset Rd.

1549: An officer went to a Lewis Ave. residence to retrieve a bicycle that had been left on the resident’s property since Sunday.

1850: A resident came to the station to report that her identity had been used for a fraudulent unemployment claim.

1900: A resident in the 600 block of Shirley St. came to the station to report that her son’s blue Nishiki mountain bicycle had been stolen from their yard.

Thursday, Aug. 20

0012: An officer moved along persons in a motor vehicle from Hannaford Park.

0022: A Quincy Ave. resident reported that his brother’s parked MV had been struck by the operator of an Uber Eats vehicle, which drove off.

0811: Officers arrested a 27 year-old Winthrop man who was being sought by another jurisdiction.

0854: An officer stopped a MV in the 800 block of Shirley St. for having a registration revoked for insurance cancellation. The owner agreed to leave the MV in her driveway until the matter is resolved with the insurance company.

0948: A resident came into the station to report a possible identity theft.

1214: An officer restored the peace between two persons arguing over the lack of usage of a face mask at the Bank of America ATM on Main St.

1534: An officer stopped a MV at the Public Landing for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of failure to stop at a stop sign. The officer gave the operator a verbal warning.

1535: An officer stopped a MV on Payson St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of operating a MV with an expired registration. The officer issued a citation to the operator and followed her back to her property where she will leave the MV until it is registered.

1604: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV partially blocking a driveway on Trident Ave.

1700: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV lacking a resident parking sticker at Bayview and Grandview Aves.

1804: An officer stopped a MV at Linden and Main Sts. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and gave the operator a verbal warning.

1844: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Hermon and Main Sts. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and issued a citation to the operator.

2011: An officer dispersed a MV from the Short Beach parking lot, which is closed.

2133: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a minor motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Pauline St.

2252: An officer dispersed two MVs from Hannaford Park.

2319: An officer stopped a MV on Main St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a red light violation and gave the operator a verbal warning.

2353: An officer stopped a MV on Washington Ave. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and gave the operator a verbal warning.

Friday, Aug. 21

0856: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV parked at a fire hydrant at Grovers and Temple Aves.

0924: An officer stopped a MV on Main St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of using a cell phone while operating the vehicle. The officer gave the operator a verbal warning.

0946: An officer stopped a MV on Crest Ave. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a marked lanes violation and gave the operator a verbal warning.

1019: A person came into the station to report the theft of a small rowboat that had been chained at the end of Winthrop St.

1039: An officer stopped a MV on Revere St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of using a cell phone while operating. The officer gave the operator a verbal warning.

1121: An officer assisted the parties with the exchange of papers at a minor MVA on Shirley St. in which a cargo van struck a parked MV.

1137: An officer stopped a MV at Washington Ave. and Shirley St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a one-way violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

1234: An officer issued 33 parking tickets to motor vehicles lacking resident parking stickers on Pt. Shirley.

1618: An officer assisted with moving a disabled MV off Main St.

1638: An officer had the owner of a MV blocking a driveway on Trident Ave. move his MV.

1829: An officer stopped a MV on Washington Ave. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

2203: An officer moved along three vehicles and their occupants from Hannaford Park.

2215: A person came into the station to report that his MV had been scratched by a hit-and-run operator while parked at the Public Landing.

Saturday, Aug. 22

0303: An officer directed a loud group inside a Trident Ave. residence to keep it down for the night.

0331: An officer issued eight parking tickets to vehicles without resident stickers on the Point.

0419: An officer issued 16 parking tickets to vehicles without resident stickers on Somerset Ave.

0702: A person walking his dog at the Public Landing found a woman’s purse with money and her license in it. An officer came to retrieve the purse and returned it to the owner.

1020: An officer stopped a MV on Main St. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1028: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV on Summit Ave. with an expired inspection sticker.

1058: An officer restored the peace between parties arguing over failure to use a face mask on Oris St.

1312: A resident came to the station to report being defrauded of $1800 in connection with a vacation rental that was listed on Craig’s List.

1516: Officers, the DPW, and Inspectional Services responded to a report from a Shirley St. resident that his toilet was overflowing and the landlord was unavailable. The DPW reported that the back-up was not being caused by a problem in the sewerage system. Inspectional Services said they would handle the situation.

1547: An officer stopped a MV in Metcalf Sq. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of a stop sign violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

1706: A calling party reported that his MV had been struck by a hit-and-run operator at the 7-11 on Revere St.

1903: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV parked on the sidewalk at Bates and Washington Aves.

2044: An officer stopped a MV on Morton St. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of an equipment violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator for that violation, but issued a citation to the operator for not having a child safely secured in the vehicle.

2256: An officer stopped a MV on Waldemar Ave. for a civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) and gave a verbal warning to the operator.

2257: An officer directed loud music at a family gathering on Trident Ave. to be turned down.

Sunday, Aug. 23

0122: An officer responded to a noise complaint on Lewis Terrace and restored the peace.

0233: An officer issued a parking ticket to MV parked the wrong way on Bates Ave.

0735: An officer directed the owner of a barking dog on Sagamore Ave. to bring the dog inside.

0829: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV parked improperly on Somerset Ave.

1024: An officer stopped a MV at Cross and Shirley Sts. for the civil motor vehicle infraction (CMVI) of failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

1437: An officer issued a parking ticket to a MV that was obstructing the intersection on Pleasant St. at Tileston Rd. 

1943: The Animal Control Officer issued a citation to the owner of a dog that was loose on Pleasant Park Rd.

Monday, Aug. 24

0116: An officer dispersed persons playing basketball at the Walden St. courts.
