We Need Your Help

Dear Editor,

For over 50 years, WINARC has received the gracious support of Winthrop area residents, businesses, and organizations. We are now planning our annual “Run, Walk, or Roll Fundraiser” at Deer Island on Sunday, May 5, at 11 a.m., and we are asking for the community’s continued support by participating in our event. Donations help support our current recreational and educational activities for participants with special needs: Special Olympics, Bowling, Dances, Hip-hop, Sing-alongs, Arts and Crafts, and Field Trips. We are also in the planning stage of developing new programs.

Registration is requested by April 19, at www.winarc.org. There is also registration on May 5, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the event. After participants have finished their walk around the island, there will be refreshments, music and raffles available. For further information contact Nancy Giuffre (co-president) at 617-640-4292.
