Joanne Pinabella

Teacher at East Boston ABCD/HEAD Start program

Joanne (Murphy) Pinabella of East Boston passed away suddenly on Jan. 1. She was 58 years old.

Joanne was currently employed as a teacher at the ABCD/Head Start Program in East Boston.

She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Pinabella, devoted mother of John F. Arpino and his fiancée, Glenna of Beverly, Christopher A. Arpino of Norwood and Nicole M. Pinabella and her companion, Frankie of East Boston; adored grandmother of Alana Marie Arpino and Barrett Terwilliger. Born in Winthrop, she was the cherished daughter of David Murphy and the late Marie (Palladino) Murphy of Winthrop and the dear sister of Susan M. Murphy and her husband, Matthew Buehler of Winthrop.

Her funeral will be held from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. John the

Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ABCD/East Boston Head Start, 80 Lexington St., East Boston, MA. 02128.
