Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

I recently shopped in Macys, North Shore Shopping Mall and made a cash purchase. The sales associate asked if I would like to donate the change ($.45) to the Peabody Schools.  I immediately said yes (who needs change bouncing around in their purse).

I would like to suggest that the Winthrop merchants consider implementing a similar plan through their computer systems, to benefit the Winthrop School System.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
