When It All Began…

One of the pleasurable aspects of writing (and reading) our through the years column each week is that it provides a perspective on many aspects of our life today and allows us to pinpoint precisely when something that may have seemed innocuous at the time, but which affects us now, first appeared in the news.

We often find ourselves wondering, “Did people at the time ever imagine that this event would have had such an impact on their lives years later?”
